Gold Coast Energy were chosen to install the 55kW Brisbane Lions Club House Solar installation. The panels used were the Conergy 230w PowerPlus made in Germany panels coupled with 9 of the SMA 9000TL inverters.
The entire system was installed over the club house, the roof configuration was challenging because of the wiring layout and the obstacle of shaded areas.
Because of the age of the roof there was great concern for water leaks. As the ceiling inside the clubhouse had been painted in a sky portrait, it was essential that there would be no chance of water leaking. After the heavy rain deluge our quality shone through.
The entire system was connected to the Solar for display which was installed on a large screen near the restaurant and shows the performance of the solar system including many other functions to entertain the patrons.
The Solar system assists by providing around 209kW per day to the club.
